There are two parts to the program: 4 to 8 weeks of intensive Mandarin Chinese course followed by 4 to 12 weeks of internship experience.

PHASE 1. Intensive Mandarin Chinese course
Choose 4 weeks, 6 weeks, or 8 weeks
Small Class, Fast Progress, Practical Use. Based on your level, you can acquire a basic knowledge of the Chinese language or improve and perfect the knowledge you already have, for daily life and work.

In the first 4, 6, or 8 weeks, you will take an intensive Mandarin Chinese class at our centrally located school in Shanghai. There are 25 lessons every week, with 4 group General Chinese lessons and 1 customized individual lesson every day, Monday through Friday. The maximum size of each class is limited to 8 (average 3-5) to ensure every student gets full attention from the teacher and has ample time for practice. The individual classes in the afternoon allow you to work on areas you may feel need extra practice or which are of particular interest to you. You will be highly motivated to learn as much as you can in the shortest time possible.

You may also opt to add ongoing individual lessons in off-work time during the internship period.

Before you begin the placement process, you must first apply and be accepted to the program to begin. Once accepted, we will explore and help you determine the best internship opportunities that are commensurate with your qualifications, background, experience, interests, and goals and then secure a personalized internship placement with an organization from within our network of internship providers, from foreign to local Chinese companies, corporations to start up and SMEs. We guarantee internship placement or your money back, as we have successfully placed over 98% of our enrolled participants since 2006.

Internships are generally full-time (Mon-Fri, around 35-40 working hrs/week) and last 4 to 12 weeks, depending on your choice. During the internship, you will receive full support from our program coordinator. The manager of the host company will actively involve and guide you through the whole internship. Extending your internship is also possible if it is agreed by your host company. Internships for less than 3 months are generally not paid but some host companies may provide a stipend to cover some meals and local transportation.

Eligibility
This program is open to applicants of all nationalities between 18-30yrs who have finished or pursuing a university or college education. We are also looking for you to exhibit a strong academic record, and open to foreign travel and culture. Fluent English is essential; an elementary or above level in Chinese is preferable in order to become fully integrated into the work team. However, while Chinese is an advantage in broadening internship opportunities, it is NOT A MUST. This program is open to absolute beginners in Chinese as well.
